While these do exactly what you want, it doesn't do it well. They make your chair noticably shorter. considering that my chair was already pretty short, it tips it over the edge. I really tried to enjoy this item, but I can't. It makes your chair way too short. They need to increase the height of the item by an inch or two. Possibly more.
