Note: The DR229 drum unit is not color-coded and is compatible with all color variants of the TN229 toner cartridges. The black label on the received unit does not indicate compatibility limited to the black TN229 toner — it works seamlessly with all other colored toner cartridges as well.
Simple Installation Steps
**Step1. Clear the corona wire by sliding the green tab3~5 times and then return it to the home position.
**Step2. Carefully remove the orange protective cap from the edge of the toner cartridge, then remove the protective cap from the roller.
**Step3. Put the toner cartridge into the drum unit until it clicks into the right position.
**Step4. Insert the drum unit (with the toner installed) into your printer.
Caution: Do not touch the nozzles or the cartridge contacts.
