The 3M™ fiber disc 985C offers an exceptionally fast cut and extreme durability for high-pressure applications on all metals. Designed for both long life and superior performance in aggressive, heavy-duty applications. Disc uses a 3M ceramic abrasive grain that exceeds conventional abrasives in durability, disc life, and cut-rate. Ceramic abrasive grain requires less pressure, reducing operator fatigue. A stiff fiber backing provides durability needed for heavy stock removal and high-pressure weld leveling. Grinding aid reduces grinding temperatures for heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium. This disc is ideal for weld removal, grinding, and blending flarge and small areas of metal surfaces. Compatible with 3M disc pad face plates and hubs, and requires the use of a disc retainer nut (all sold separately).
