I can't answer YES or NO on that Question - but I have no choice. This note should be added - "Is it fit for MY purpose?" YES it FITS my purpose - it izzzz really STURDY ENOUGH for my needs: 1. Cheap, 2. Easy to assemble, 3. No need to expand, 4. No need to sit on top shelf, 5. I don't use Ski Boots nor any other heavy duty footwear, 6. Just throw it away next re-location (It is really easy to DISAssemble on a granular level).

Accommodates High-tops Well

Lightweight, yet holds the weight of shoes easily. Appearance is simply functional. Finally I have ienough space between shelves to accommodate high-top sneakers and ankle boots without jamming them in. This is on account of the flexibility of shelves (nylon). For ankle boots, I use pool noodles to keep them upright and hold their shape. Because of that, I purchased a second and left out one ( second from bottom) in shelf in assembly and it worked wonderfully.
