Avene XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cream - For Dry, Itchy Skin Prone to Atopic Dermatitis and Eczema, 13.5 fl oz

My skin specialist (please don't make me spell the official term that I can't even pronounce) recommended Avene Xeracalm AD for my face and neck due to aging and menopause. After a few months, my coworkers asked if I had Botox done lol! No.

I love this cream. I was plagued with eczema facial redness, bumpy skin, a red nose and red cheeks for 4 years. Nothing seemed to help, expensive medical-grade creams and prescription medication creams. Nothing helped. Someone with very very sensitive skin recommended the Avene brand and this cream in particular. I could not believe how soothed my face felt once I applied it! My face no longer burns, itch or looks red except when I wake up in the morning. I then wash with Anti-red facial cleaner and reapply the XeroCalm a.d. cream and the redness starts waning immediately. It's unreal. I never realized my face had such sensitive skin. I now use the Cicalfate 2-3 times a week at night as my extra creamy night cream. I mist during the day with their Thermal spray when I feel "dry" and before applying the Cicalfate (because it's very thick). Because of the eczema on my scalp, I tried the Xeracalm a.d. Replenishing oil wash, which can be used on color-treated hair. I will keep using it because it is soothing and helps control the scalp itchiness. All in all, I have seen a big reduction in my facial redness, itchiness, and tightness without applying heavy petroleum, mineral oil-based creams or prescription creams as I did for years with no reduction in redness and itchiness.
