Micro hearth grillpan looks like a good quality grill pan. I have only used it two times. It worked well when cooking bacon to a crisp after cooking it for a very long time however, it is not a shorter time than cooking it in a regular fry pan. I also used it on cooking small steaks and they came out just like they had been steamed instead of fried in a pan. They tasted OK but they didn't look like a grilled steak. I feel like I need more instructions on how to use the grill pan to give me the knowledge how to use the pan to make it work as described in the advertisement and pictures in the cookbook. Mine has not worked as expected. Maybe I need to try it more to figure out how to make it more effective. I am not really sure if I would recommend it or not since I have not used it more than two times. I would have to use it more to see if I would really recommend it or not but it looks like a good pan.
