Stride Rite Journey Kid's Machine Washable Extra Wide Adaptable Sneaker, Sizes 1-13.5

I was looking for a comfortable and cute option for my daughter who has bilateral clubfoot and just got her first AFO's. We really have not liked some of the other shoes marketed for afos with the zippers as they just don't look or fit like regular shoes. She looked like she had clown shoes on and she felt odd lifting her feet very high trying to accommodate. Nothing like that with these! With the stride rites she's happy and doesn't trip. She has been walking normally and can even run! We love these as they are just normal cute looking shoes that are wide and deep enough with the inserts removed for her orthotic braces. We also sized up a few sizes from her regular foot size to accommodate the brace (for us it was from a natural size 8 up to a 10) I can't wait to try some of the adaptable Mary Jane's next! Thank you stride rite for making a difference for kids who have disabilities and/or foot differences.

Thanks for adding an adaptive line. They still fit a bit too snug. Could the designers work on making some of the adaptive line a little wider than the XW and deeper depth to allow more for comfort when they are worn with DAFOs, AFOs, or SMOs?
