i needed something with good cushion on my shower transfer seat, because i have necrosis in my hips. i wish that it was thicker and more cushy, but it'll help better than having nothing. because all them shower chairs for disabled are hard plastic with no give for your body, when your already in so much pain. I was considering getting an outdoor seat cushion, thinking they are waterproof but wasn't sure. i was happy to find this. i think it's a little pricey for its size and thickness, but we'll see how it holds up in the shower. they should make them seats that have backs on them where you can recline some and lean back in them it would make shower time allot less painful
