Excellent value for the money

I read the previous reviews before buying, and applied all the good advice. When you're fitting the various metal bars together, tap them in firmly with a rubber mallet or measured taps with a hammer, before adding the shelves, then tap down the corners of the shelves, too. Its easy as can be to put these together (I bought 2), takes maybe 20 minutes. True, the shelves are thin wire, but again I listened to previous reviewers and used zip-ties, front, back and sides of the shelves to 'weld' them to the bars and now they're perfectly firm in place. These units are very lightweight, I easily picked up the finished unit and moved it around. So, you do need some sort of supports to keep them from blowing over in the wind. I got a few 5' t-posts at my local home center and hammered them into the dirt on each side of the unit and one off-side at the front. Perfect. I'm very pleased.

Good Product for smaller yards or homes

This is a great product, good quality of cover and the zippers were well sewn into the cover. The shelves were just a little flimsy, but once pots were on them, they held the weight of the pots very well. We did anchor the bottom shelves with concrete stepping stones - in Colorado's high winds, it would have been in Kansas, by now! But, otherwise it's exactly what we wanted to get our plants going for spring. It was very easy to assemble and - as I said - great for small spaces or small homes. We may get another one next year for twice the space!

Careful assembly yields excellent sturdiness

I note that others felt this product to be a bit flimsy. Forewarned, I took a moment to assess where they might have done less than what is necessary to get the most rigidity built into the structure. Here's what I did. First...build the growhouse on a flat, level, hard surface. Build the sub-assemblies - and here's the secret - use multiple, moderate hits with a rubber mallet to drive all rods firmly into each plastic girder. Once all the sub-assemblies are confirmed to be solid and perfectly equal in size, go ahead and put it ALL together. You will know you did a good job if the cover fits well and the zippers come together with ease. Lastly, use nine zip ties to join each and every wire shelf to the cross-pieces. Three in back, three in the middle, and three in front. It's a LOT of zip ties, but this action alone GREATLY enhances the rigidity of the entire growhouse! Assembly took ~ 1/2 hour. Putting the zip ties on took longer than that...but again, it is DEFINITELY worth doing. You can always snip them off to re-configure the shelf arrangement.
