Size 6x too big on size 6 child

My daughter loves LOL Surprise so we had to get this swimsuit. She loves the ruffles and the way the straps are made. We bought a size 6x and she's a size 6. I was very surprised to see that the swimsuit fits big on her. It's not adjustable so I couldn't make adjustments for a better fit. The straps didn't stay on her shoulders and the bottoms are too big.

Toddler girl one piece swim

I would say that this runs big. Super cute but also size down if you want your kiddo to wear asap. I will be keeping this one for next summer as the straps would not stay up as she is wearing a size 4. Super cute and comfortable otherwise. I love the ruffle details around the top strap. I wasn't sure who these characters were but my daughter just loved the pink.
