I wanted something that would give more space for serving dishes as the dining table was the only place to put them. The table I purchased is perfect. With the clean open lines, it doesn't detract from leaving the room feeling more open and doesn't detract from the other antique pieces. Putting another wooden table would have made the room more claustrophobic. In addition the price was low compared to others I've seen and was a snap in putting together.
