Birds love it!
I've purchased this brand several times and the birds finish one before the day is out! Winter or summer. I generally get sparrows and grackles. I do see the occasional woodpecker on it as well.

Good Value!
I saw this St. Albans Bay Suet Plus 15 pack on sale for basically a buck a suet so wanted to try it. Read the reviews and was a little concerned when some said the birds wouldn't eat it? When I opened the box, I saw this suet was a different color than the normal suet I use and appeared to be a different consistency as well so my concern heightened. (photo shows St. Albans with red arrow beside my other suet). I put one up almost right beside my normal suet and waited. The birds flocked to both equally so I don't know what the issue was with others that said birds didn't like it. It does have a different consistency than my other suet - less waxy; harder in texture. There's no plastic trays - just a clear plastic wrapper so less packaging to toss out. Seems to be mostly bits of corn in the suet though compared to my other brand. Hey, for a buck a piece, you can't go wrong! Not sure I'd buy at full price though.

Our birds do not like this suet at all. We've always had lots of woodpeckers, sparrows, and chickadees. None of them like this suet. We've always had will not purchase it again.
