1/48 Scale. The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is regarded as one of the most formidable jet fighters in the world today. Ever since its maiden flight in July 1972, this record breaking flying machine has been a yardstick for jet fighter design. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-100 turbofan engines, it is capable of speeds in the Mach 2.5 range. This kit features 120 parts molded in light grey and clear with recessed panel lines, optional parts for intake ramp in subsonic and supersonic configurations, 4-piece ejection seat, 2-part windshield- canopy may be in the open or closed position, Detailed nose gear with landing lights and door retraction strut, highly detailed cockpit with decals for it as well as a and seated pilot figure. 1 centerline and 2 wing mounted external fuel tanks, 4 AIM-9L Sidewinder and 2 AIM-7F Sparrow missiles. Detailed Hughes APG-63 radar visible under removable nose cone, detailed Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-100 turbofans armed with 20mm rotary cannon, AIM-9L Sidewinder and AIM-7F Sparrow missiles. Markings included for 3 different aircraft. Skill level 2

The previous post doesnt undrstand reviewing items
Its Tamiya and therefore its pretty much the best you can expect from a plastic model kit. Panel lines and rivets extremely detailed, parts fit together perfectly. You wont find a better F-15 model. PS - The previous reviewer gives this item 1 star and clearly doesnt understand how reviews work. He was sent the wrong item so gives the F-15 a 1 star review. How does getting the wrong item make this Tamiyas fault?

Not the right model
I was expecting the F-15 but was sent the A-10. I see that the model number for the A-10 listed on the Tamiya website is the same as the F-15 on the Walmart site which is 61028. So basically, I was shipped the correct model according to the model number from Horizon Hobby, but I thought I was ordering the F-15C as indicated with the picture and description from Walmart.com
