Troubled by the Questions of Predistination?

Being a Christian since the age of 13 (I'm now 57), you'd think my beliefs would be long since affirmed and any questions answered long ago. Yet over the years as I read and reread the word of God I always try to leave my mind open to what GOD is saying.\n\nSometimes old questions I thought were settled rise again and warrant a fresh reviewing and this is what the author, Norman Geisler does in this book on the subject of God's Sovereignty and man's Free Will. Yes, GOD is all knowing and all powerful BUT does HE actually Predestine who will be eternally saved and who will be eternally damned?\n\nIn short does GOD give human's any real choice or does HE literally call ALL the shots? Read Romans chapter 8 if you want to see why I was led on this quest. I'm halfway through the book and I agree so far with everything the author is putting forth, though I know there are many Christians (extreme Calvinists) who don't. I'm very happy I found this treasure and look forward to reading more from this wise Christian scholar.
