Candy shell not round, flattened like a disk

The strawberry flavor is my all time favorite hard candy flavor. I hope this is a one off. This batch of strawberry tootsie pops are smaller with less hard candy shell. Instead of a round hard candy shell, these arrived flattened like a disk that resulted in a top and a bottom. Weird. I have purchased these many times before with great satisfaction - they were round as expected. This is a luxury expense in my life and anyone on a budget understands this. I would contact company to find out is this is their new version of a tootsie pop before buying.
