This was a last minute purchase before an ice storm in my area that threatened to shut down the world around us LOL. I knew that ice could get around the doors and windows and keep things sealed up, and that forcing a door open could break the handle. I wanted to avoid all of that so I bought these covers for my Chevy Equinox (size 1) and Toyota Corolla (size 3). The imprinted logo goes on the front hood so you know which end is which. It's tight-fitting enough to shape the vehicle, and I didn't have to push my mirrors in. They were relatively easy to put on. It was just 5-foot-2 me with a bad back fighting the wind when I tried to get it over. What worked for me was to stretch it out the length of the car and start throwing sections as far as I could. Then I would run to the opposite end and try to toss it on the top. Yes, the Corolla was much easier than the SUV, but it worked great. Round 2 - a "bomb cyclone" a week later, and it took me 2 minutes per car to get them covered. I'm an Ace now! I didn't notice the thin strings at the bottom of the storage bag (and it is nearly impossible to get the covers back in the bag) so I used my own rope which was heavier. Regarding the material, it's heavier than an "economy" fabric and stood up through Ice Storm %231. When I purchased it without seeing it (online, overnight order), I was concerned this would dissolve or tear after the first storm, but I can see this lasting quite a bit. Based on the weather reports, I was ready to spend the money and just use it one time. I'm glad it is much nicer than I thought. I don't think it's a cover just for rain, but for leaves and other things dropping from the sky would work great.
