Doesn't function as advertised for mailbox alert.

So far I have not been able to get this product to function as a mailbox alert. My mailbox is approximately 75' away from the alert receiver and in clear view. I even tried using the system a few feet apart and nothing worked. I'll contact the manufacturer STI Monday morning for help and if nothing improves I'll return this product .
