KC & SUNSHINE BAND / GREATEST HITSKC and the Sunshine Band is an American musical group. Founded in 1973 in Hialeah, Florida, it's style has included funk, R&B, and disco. Their most well known songs include the disco hits quot;That's the Way (I Like It)quot;, quot;(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Bootyquot;, quot;I'm Your Boogie Manquot;, quot;Keep It Comin' Lovequot;, quot;Get Down Tonightquot;, quot;Boogie Shoesquot;, quot;Give It Upquot;, and quot;Please Don't Goquot;. The band took it's name from lead vocalist Harry Wayne Casey's last name (quot;KCquot;) and the quot;Sunshine Bandquot; from KC's home state of Florida ('The Sunshine State').
