It's not totally non toxic but it's the best I could find after a lot of research. Dr. Bronner's all in one soap and shampoo left a residue on my hair although it works for my spouse. It's totally non toxic. Anihana is pretty good. It lathers and leaves my hair with a decent feel.

After just finishing my first bar, I no longer experience globs of hair in the drain, my hair has volume (what?!?) and it's turning curly and “alive” again. What a miracle product!
