We have only used the string one time since they just arrived. The lights work fine but I am a little disappointed with the color. I ordered purple but they appear more of a raspberry/red color when it is dark. Two of the bulbs were lose from the screw in base when we took them out of the box and we didn't try to screw them into the light strand since the base would have probably broken off from the glass light bulb and been stuck in the strand. We put electrical tape over the opening on the two bases at the end of the strand so we could use them this weekend on the camper. I plan to contact the company to see if they will replace them with new bulbs.
