Great alternative to a cell phone

This device works great %26 has a very clear %26 loud speaker. I bought it for my son who likes to be out bike riding or skateboarding around our neighborhood. He is only 8 and I dont want him to have a cell phone yet. I like that he can call or check in when he arrives to his friends or the park area. The app. was easy to set up all his info.
