Assura® Extra is a highly cohesive adhesive formulation. This means the barrier itself remains intact over time and minimal erosion/washing out occurs, which helps increase wear time and means less residue when removed. During use, the adhesive barrier will swell. It then conforms better to the skin, ensuring security and leak resistance. Assura® Extra contains proprietary natural and synthetic polymer adhesives. When combined, these absorptive properties ensure wear time significantly longer than the Assura® Standard adhesive. Because of the adhesive strength, overall surface area could be minimized, thereby ensuring maximum flexibility and comfort. Unique, transparent adhesive provides security and flexibility, while preserving the integrity of the surrounding skin. Security: during use, the adhesive barrier will swell.
