This dress is great quality. The stitching is impeccable, with no wayward threads sticking out anywhere. Believe it or not, that's something that's important to me in a dress-- especially something my kids will wear. Kids can be a little rough on their clothing, and then you put it through the wash and holes at the seams will commence. I don't have to worry about that with this dress. The material is akin to flannel, but a bit lighter and more malleable. Perfect for pairing with leggings/tights, boots, and a jean jacket! The length on my daughter (she's 5'4") is just around the knees. She wore it to church with some cream-colored leggings and knee-high black boots and got loads of compliments! I also like that the buttons at the top allow her (me) to decide how much to show in that area. What we did, was put a black tank top underneath the dress, with a few of the buttons open, to see the choker and chain necklaces she was wearing. I adore this dress, and I'm looking forward to passing it on to her sister in the next couple of years.
