Keratex Hoof Putty Keratex Hoof Putty stabilizes hoof cavities and provides a waterproof seal to protect the hoof from both fungal and bacterial infections. This unique and malleable wax seals hoof cavities to prevent grit and stone from entering the hoof cavities and protects from further damage. Slow-release disinfectants and antibacterial in this putty cause it to be effective in treating seedy toe, white line disease, and more. Easy to apply and can be used on both shod and unshod hooves. Please be advised that Hoof Putty often hardens in the can. To remove putty from the container, take a hoof pick or screwdriver and scrape out the desired amount. The putty needs to be warmed before it softens and can be molded. Once molded, the putty will reharden and seal the wound.
