I bought these tiles to make a surface for placing quilt blocks as they're completed. Fabric does stick to the felt-like surface, but not as a quilt project gets larger. I'll just use as few pins as needed. Installation on my slightly textured wall went well because the tiles are perfectly square. Only drawback was that no instructions were provided, such as the need to clean the surface first for better adhesion of the tiles (which I did). The tiles stick very well and very quickly, so be careful during placement.
