The tan color is as shown, and the rug laid flat on the floor, right out of the packaging roll! No wrinkles, no lines, and no need to put pressure on the edges! That was amazing! It came folded in a box. This was not a problem. Laid completely flat after about 3 days and couple of vacuums. Vacuums really well. Has rubber back which is what I wanted. I ordered “washable” rug prior to this one and it was like a heavy blanket. This rug is like a rug. I use these 4'x6' in my kitchen. They get heavy traffic. I have dogs and they love to lay on rugs. I replace this particular one about every 2 years. I have not shampooed it yet but I will. A rug this size could not possibly be washable in washer unless it was thin and flimsy.
