This fan is awesome it is reasonably quiet and the way it circulates air is phenomenal. I live on the 2nd floor condominium in the deep south and it gets really hot and humid. With this fan I can either turn the ac on at a higher temperature with fan on or turn it on for an hour and then off for a surprising good amount of time. Many nights and early mornings all I need is this fan with no ac at all. It was well worth the $100 investment.

I have several Vornado fans at home and I personally like this model the most. (This is my second purchase of this particular model.) This fan's profile is sleek and not clunky, the tilt mechanism allows for a lot of flexibility (unlike most other models which are limited to 2 or 3 positions), and best of all, its sound at the strongest power level is the most unobtrusive. Provides ample cooling for a large room. Highly recommended.

Everything I Wanted

The 4th speed is very forceful, which I need to blow airconditioned air from a bedroom to the front of my apartment. It takes up little space, and by putting it on the floor and tilting it up, it circulates the cooler air that sinks to the floor. It is pretty easily carried to other locations, although there is definitely weight to this fan. There is good variation in air flow among the 4 speeds, allowing just the air flow I want in different locations. The user manual indicates the grill and blade can be easily removed to clean. I'm kind of amazed!
