    • DIRECTIONS:Pour RepTerraTM sand into bottom of Terrarium or Vivarium to a depth of about 1.5 inches. Add more for burrowing species. RepTerra sand will dump when wet, making deaning easy with a litter scoop or spoon. Remove debris as needed and replace when a strong odor persists or at the most, after 6 months. The 
    • RepTerra sand is a premium grade of Calcium Carbonate, ideal and safe for e with most desert species of Lizards, Snakes, Tortoises as well as Hermit Crabs.
    • Very small or young animals should not be kept on any sand product as they are more sceptible to impaction problems.
    • RepTerraTM sond reduces impaction problems which are common when reptiles are hoed on silica sand, wood shavings and other substrates.
    • RepTerraTM sand conducts heat and is safe for e with heating mats or cables.
    • RepTerro sand is easy to dean. It absorbs moisture easily and dries quickly.

Soft and fine grained sand! The color is a beautiful white in contrast with a light brown beach colored sand, my beardie was given to me, and after 5 years of him being in a sanded tank, I didn't want to change his routine in fear of causing him anxiety. The old saying fits well with “If it ain't broke, don't fix it”. My boy is a happy beardie, and just cleaning up everyday to avoid ingestion is key!

Good for extra absorbency

I use small amounts of this as an additional measure to absorb odors and moisture from waste. It's not necessary but does tend to extend the life of other substrate materials. Considering how cheaply calcium carbonate can be produced, it's not a great value, nor is it especially gravelly, it is more like sand, thus three stars in each of those areas.

Great for Leopard Gecko from Desert Climate!

Worked great with a mix of reptile substrate and this sand as a digging topper, when heat lamp is used to warm the sand (even temporary, not necessary, but it was cooler than the substrates, so I kept a heat lamp on it after adding it to my Leopard Gecko's home. He has really enjoyed it, and even more than other brands i have tried, this is my most favorite.
