Floortex® Polycarbonate Corner Workstation Chair Mat Carpets up to 1/2" 48" x 60"

I bought this product based on the reviews. I thought it was a thin chair mat, but it is very thick and durable. It does not sink in the carpet like other mats. My chair slides almost like it does on real floor. The only thing that was confusing was that the box was not well labeled. I thought that they send me the wrong item, but when I opened the box it was the right shape, and better quality than expected. Suggestion: if you are unsure about keeping this product, for whatever reason, do not take it out of the box.

This replaced a vinyl mat that dimpled, hindering movement, and finally started cracking in a major way within the last few months (to be fair I got about 6 years use out of it). No dimpling with this polycarbonate mat (low to medium pile carpet). My chair rolls smoothly even after sitting in the same spot for extended periods, and it just feels more durable. Take heed though, warnings about unstrapping the mat that's been rolled for shipping are not exaggerated. Have plenty of room (maybe outside, certainly away from children and pets), stand as clear as you can at one end of the cylinder and cut the strap with scissors. Even if you're prepared, the force with which this thing springs flat will startle you.
