Leave the lights on.

The game is really good. With the sound on and the lights off this game will get our heart pumping. Not recommended for anyone under 14. Some bad words, a lot of violence and a horror aspect in it. Beautiful scenery of the Pacific Northwest. Hated the forest levels. Made me jumpy after playing them. Character moves thru forest at night with fog and a group of possessed people after you with axes. Old mines, logs and bridges over streams. Daughter liked the stages with the cars. This is a good game for the mature group. It gets the heart racing and the fingers fumbling on the controller. Reload and run,run,run! Never enough Ammo, and never enough flares and grenades. Never trust anyone who cannot stand in the light.Part2?

good but short

This game really lived up to the hype and the 5 year wait. The graphics were intense and the world pallete was stunning. Unlike most horror games (or pyshological thriller as their calling it) the action is well balanced and wonderfully easy to adapt to. The story line is intense though deliberately cheesy at times. There are soooo many pop culture references it'd take hours of googling to look them all up. The major drawback to this game is that it is short. That's it. But given the fact that the rest of the game is so enjoyable, when it ends it just isnt enough.

Awesome Game!

My 12 year old loves this game he got for Christmas! It is scary and exciting and definitely gets into your head. The only downside is that it is a little more violent that I would expect for a T Rating - shooting people and blood are no exception. Overall, we love it!
