I love that the heating element is not exposed like all the other electric fryers I looked at. The only other fryer I found with an embedded heat element is a Cuisinart, but it had mixed reviews on its performance and small size. I wanted a flush interior which can be easily cleaned without having to deal with an ugly burning heat tube. The size is perfect, since it's larger than the mini Cuisinart, yet it's about half the footprint of my AllClad fryer. I love that the basket handle folds down compactly for storage so it's all the size of a small box. All the other fryers have basket handles that stick out permanently, so they're a pain to store. I appreciate the lid which really helps with containing the splatter while letting you keep an eye on the food. The window does tend to fog up from the steam, but you can still make out the color of the food as it browns. The lid is removable and dishwasher safe; what more could you ask for?!
