This is a beginner friendly camera for less than $1000. I've been getting mixed opinions on this camera but I just went all in for it. I've been able to mess with all the features by myself and also with the help of watching a ton of videos. I know the camera comes with the kit lens but I invested in a 55-250mm lens and a 85mm f1.8 lens as well. I can't wait to use this for upcoming shoots and in the near future I'll be upgrading to mirrorless. My advice is to just learn your camera on “manual” mode. Learn your shutter speed, aperture and iso. It makes everything much easier. Fast shutter speed 1/1000- darker shot but freezes any motion Shower shutter speed 1/5- brighter shot but motion passes Higher aperture f/8- darker image but keeps more of the image in focus Lower aperture f2.8- brighter image but keeps less of the image in focus Higher iso- brighter image but will include some unwanted noise Lower iso- darker image but will keep image from unwanted noise

Her aunt has the same exact camera and we love this brand. It is a great camera to start with and the lenses are interchangeable with other cannon cameras.
