The clamp is dedigned to fit over an aquarium frame, or clamp directly to the glass or acrylic on frameless aquariums. LED lights consume far less alectricity than incandescent bulb- up to 10 times less LEDs are 100% mercury free This LED reflects the movement of the water in an aquarium for a unique and natural "shimer" effect hard to duplicate with any other light sourse. Most bulbs produce excess heat that raises the temperature of aquarium water. LEDs produce very little heat, giving you more precise control over the aquarium water temperature.
