This is my 4th fingerprint reader, and it is by far the best. It has a channel for you to swipe your finger that helps ensure good, clean scans. I haven't been using it very long, but can say this is easily the most accurate and maintenance-free. I am running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 without issue. That's not something I can say about my Micro$oft fingerprint reader (the M$ reader guaranteed Windows Compatibility for life, so call for your 40.00 refund check if you are running an incompatible version of Windows).
The entire base of the reader is rubberized, keeping it in place and properly angled. You don't have to apply/remove tape to the sensor every dozen reads. The window is tiny, and you're swiping, not pressing. It also doesn't give you that weird pin-like feeling when you run your finger over the sensor; nor does it seem that pressure is an issue. If money weren't an issue for me, I'd replace all of mine with this one!
