Maison Park Narrow 5-Drawer Dresser, White

Good quality, solid construction. Took a while to assemble (directions have NO words, just pictures) but really like the look of it and it feels stable. I changed out the drawer pulls for fancier ones. Love it now!

I bought this dresser in July 2010 for a child's room because of the environmentally friendly rating and solid-looking appearance. I also hoped it would be reasonably easy to assemble and look like a quality purchase, as the images online indicated. I'd say I batted about 50 percent. The instructions left a lot to be desired. The individual pieces were marked with numbers, and the instruction booklet indicated numbers on corresponding pieces. These sets of numbers did not match in any way, shape or form. When I called the HELP LINE info in the box, I was told that was just the way it was, and I would have to count holes and compare pieces to figure out what was what. (Whoa! Um ... OK?) Also in the images, the metal drawer runners were incorrectly positioned on the screw-holes. When I called the HELP LINE again, I was sent a link via e-mail to an instructional video (which had no sound). The video was generic and in no way specific to the dresser I had purchased. It too was incorrect and had a different hole/slot/piece configuration. I eventually figured everything out, and the dresser seems very solid. There is some space between the drawers and the chest itself (especially the top one) when the drawers are closed, but otherwise it looks as it should. (I've put together several pieces of furniture over the years, so I've had more experience than I'd like doing this sort of work!) I'm going to keep the dresser, but if you asked me whether I'd do it all over again, the answer would be no. At least not without proper instructions.
