Why wait almost a year to review this? Well, how else to do it? The whole point is for a backup battery to work when you need it, after an extended period of ignoring it. I had an incident in which I powered up and operated my computer system for a couple of minutes without realizing that my UPS system had been unplugged. Not recommended! Why there was no flurry of blinking and beeping alarms I don't know. But the point is that this battery sustained things just fine until realized my mistake and did an orderly shutdown. To me, that's getting the job done.

Save Money and the Hassle of a Service Call and Easily Replace This Yourself!

This works great in my Simon XT and the price was great. Numerous web sites show you how to replace the battery of a Simon XT yourself and save yourself money and the hassle of coordinating a service call to your house. I simply unplugged the alarm, removed the two top screws, took out the battery and replaced it with this one and reversed the other steps. Worked perfectly! No need to clear codes or do anything else!
