The fixture must be assembled. It comes in sections. The chain connectors were rusted, so I was hesitant to even have it installed. But, I had no light fixture, and the electrician had connectors to replace the junk ones. He was very careful assembling it, but was worried about the wire because the coating on it was paper thin, and it had to be forced inside the tubing. As soon as he turned the light on, it threw the breaker!!!!!!! I had him remove it. When he disassembled it, the wiring was stripped because the paper thin covering had just disintegrated inside the metal tubing!! This is a dangerous piece of utter JUNK. It was a TOTAL waste of money and time. I returned the item for a refund, but the work was still an expense and waste of time! AVOID this junk and save your money!!!
