This product is fairly inexpensive, and is extremely well built! A great value for the money! I mainly bought it because I needed a larger, heavy-duty power strip, which could be easily and securely mounted on the wall, and which had a loooooong power cord (this one has 15 ft, which is the longest of any I've found). This has a very heavy-duty well constructed metal box and durable receptacles and switches, combined with a heavy-duty power cord. These are all features I needed in my commercial/frequent use application. The fact that it is also a surge protector is a bonus! If I could change one thing about this product, it would be to have a 90º right-angle plug on the end of the power cord, so the power cord goes straight down the wall toward the floor, instead of jutting straight out from the wall receptacle. In two of my applications I needed to put a piece of furniture directly in front of the receptacle where the power strip was plugged into the wall, and because the plug on the end of the power cord sticks straight out from the wall receptacle, it caused the backs of the furniture to press against the plug, and still not set all the way back against the wall.
