So happy I purchased this bed frame! In short - it's easy to assemble (took me about an hour and a half, not counting the time I spent playing with the lights LOL); just the height I was looking for (10 inches); sturdy; no creaking or wobbling; and best of all, no more stubbed toes! It arrived undamaged, which was a nice surprise. I opened the box, unwrapped and laid out every piece to make sure it was all there, and set to work. It does come with a small hex wrench but I used my own as it's easier to grip. A helper is nice but not really necessary unless you think you'll have trouble flipping it over once assembled (you put 90% of it together top-side down). It weighs around 40 or so pounds and is a little awkward but I managed just fine. The lights are a cute little bonus; I am an adult, and while fun I had fully intended not to bother to install; I couldn't find a similar frame without the feature, however. In two words: Do it! They attach easily with Velcro, with the 'hook' part already attached to the frame for you; it took me 5 minutes to install the LED strip, and then a half-hour flew as I played with the lights LOL I chose not to peel off the covers of the double-sided tape on top of the slats; if my mattress slides around I'll buy easily attached mattress gaskets to hold it in place. My mattress is 13 inches tall including a separate 3 inch topper; once set on top of this frame the full height is 23 inches, so it hits me about 6 inches above my knee. My senior dog now has no problem hopping up, and in addition the low height gives my room the illusion of being bigger than it really is. The "floating" effect is great, and there is no chance I'll stub my toes ever again. I do intend to use a bedskirt however to keep the dust bunnies to a minimum. Overall, I am happy with this purchase!!
