Hal Blaine came to Hollywood in the late 1950s with a dream of becoming a studio drummer. Over the next 25 years he recorded nearly 35,000 tracks of music and became the heartbeat and backbone of major hits by such diverse artists as the Beach Boys, The Mamas & The Papas, The Byrds, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, John Denver, Simon and Garfunkel, and the Tijuana Brass.
