The bench came in flat. You have to install the four legs. Clear written instruction was included in package so the installation was fairly easy and straight forward. The bench is in good quality. The top is firm yet have lots cushion support. It match my breakfast table well, and add two-three additional seat for the table. I would see it been used for other purposed in the house, like in the hall way, bedroom, study room... etc.
