The kids love this car. It looks awesome and seems like it will hold up well. 4-5 year old seems like the wheelhouse age for this car in terms of size, kids having the necessary motor skills to control the car, etc. We've had 7 year olds ride in it which works ok. This car has a big storage compartment under the hood, the parent remote control has come in useful, the car actually seats two kids / two seat belts. The car has a 6v and 12v setting. At 12v, it goes at the pace of an adult speed walking, which is about as fast as you'd want a small kid to go.

This car is amazing! My kids love it. But I love it more because of remote control!!! My kids are little(4,3.2) but insisted they wanted one of these. I am very happy with this purchase. Putting it together with my husband was about 15 mins. Instructions are pretty clear and it was on the affordable side price wise. Also it has 2 speed options it can't go real fast forward lol my kids got really excited in fast mode.
