No one who was privileged to meet Rav Avraham Pam (1913 - August 16, 2001), the Rosh Yeshiva of Brooklyn's Yeshiva Torah Vodaas, will ever forget the warm smile that sparkled for every person. Rav Pam taught Gemara and Halachah at Torah Vodass for an amazing 63 years, inspiring his 1000's of students not just in learnig Torah, but to be truly caring, thoughtful people.
Rav Pam was totally unassuming in his dress, in his speech, and in his mannerisms. Rav Pam was a great Talmudic scholar, but he was famous for his humility and soft-spoken style. He was one of the great spiritual leaders of our generation and a member of the Council of Torah Sages of Agudath Israel.
