Our Mufflers are shipped as a pre-assembled unit constructed of heavy duty steel, and features a specially designed Open-Cell Convoluted Foam or "egg crate". This interior lining is used to reduce the amplitude of excess sound waves produced by an Inline Fan. Mufflers are engineered as an acoustic soundproofing device designed to reduce the loudness of the sound pressure. With a 6" flange on both ends, the VenTech Muffler will reduce Inline Fan noise output by up to 25 decibels.
