Incredibly good product for the price. Keep it topped up and you won't notice any noise (the pump is almost silent - the only noise comes from the burbling of the water). Perfect height for a cat. The filters are EXPENSIVE and wasteful, but I just cut a piece of synthetic foam batting (leftover insulation from a meal delivery box) to size and use that instead. My cat isn't picky about the taste of the water, so I don't need the carbon - just need something to catch bits of cat food since he doesn't wash his face between eating and drinking. I change the makeshift filter out once a week when I wash the fountain and just throw the old piece away. The filter chamber has a sieve too, which helps keep crud out of the reservoir.
