Poor flower detail placement

Longtime lover of all Keds, Bought these for my toddler. Although so cute, the flower detail is placed so that you cannot slide the buckle through the opening. This makes it impossible to open the shoe enough to slide the foot in. Super bummed because they are otherwise so darling and they do fit well.
