these mats are great for inside the front door or as bathmats. They absorb moisture but quickly dry. I love the rubber backing because it prevents the moisture from hitting the tiles preventing slippage. on the carpet, same thing. Sometimes our pup has trouble making it all the way outside- moisture is trapped and we can easily just throw them in the washer. The mats air dry in about an hour but only takes minutes in a dryer.
