Cleaning and Maintenance

Once you have finished baking, remove the plug from the electrical outlet. Leave the top lid open so the grids begin to cool. Please never take your waffle maker apart for cleaning. Simply brush crumbs from grooves, and absorb any excess cooking oil by wiping with a dry cloth or paper towel. You may clean the grids by wiping them with a damp cloth to prevent staining and sticking from batter or oil buildup. Be certain grids have cooled completely before cleaning. If the batter adheres to plates, simply pour a little cooking oil onto the baked batter and let stand for approximately 5 minutes, thus allowing it to soften for easy removal. To clean the exterior, wipe with a soft dry cloth. Please do not use an abrasive cleanser or harsh pad.

Tips for Making Waffles

1. For an even waffle filling, pour batter (not included) in the center of the lower grid and cover. We recommend using 1/2 cup of batter per waffle to create an even waffle.

2. Baked waffles can be kept warm in a 200°F oven. Place on a baking sheet or wrap in aluminum foil (not included) when placing in the oven.

3. Baked waffles can be frozen. once cooled, place in a plastic food storage bag (not included), separate waffles with waxed paper, and reheat in toaster or oven (not included) when ready to use.
