Vintage Ransom! Previously not available online, Man of My Word, Mark's first release, presents an eclectic style: layering bits of pop, bluegrass and jazz onto a down-home 'soul-folk' foundation. This record was recorded on a TASCAM cassett four-track. The audio is lo-fi and rootsy. Despite the home-brew quality of these recordings, many of Mark's fans say this CD showcases some of his best writing...hence it's new appearance here on CD BABY. This album, above all else, showcases Mark's talent as a lyricist and storyteller.
