It easily secures your ball mount or hitch accessories to the receiver hitch. Simply insert the pin into the fastener hole once you have positioned the ball mount or hitch accessory in the receiver hitch. The Hitch Pin offers a sleeved design that fits ?” and 5/8” receivers. It provides a tight and secure fit, and is made of corrosion-resistant materials designed to withstand harsh weather conditions. Weather resistant dust cap protects the locking mechanism from moisture and dirt build up. This product is not recommended to remain on vehicles for an extended period of time. Includes 2 keys.

Okay but could be better
This receiver lock has a 1/2" shaft with a removable 5/8" sleeve so it will work for 2 different sizes of holes. The 1/2" shaft and the small end is not 1 solid piece so not sure if these 2 pieces will stay connected and secured to each other. There are no indications (Lock or Unlock) in the large end to show if the key is in the correct position. The rubber cap is necessary to keep the lock clean and dry.

Had to cut it off
Used for 6 months with the protective cover in place. It's difficult to lock without an extra set of hands because all parts spin. Kept hitch secure. So secure that when I went to remove it the key would not turn. I tried both keys, lubricant, force, and eventually had to resort to using a cut off tool. What a hassle.
